In the fourth quarter of 2024, social networking applications in Chile showcased varied performance trends on a unified platform, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

Threads saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 79K in late October, before stabilizing around 53K by the end of December. The app's active user base grew consistently, reaching approximately 2.6M by the end of the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with a significant spike to 92K in the week leading up to Christmas. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, averaging around 16.2M.

Facebook experienced steady weekly revenue, averaging around $5K. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, with a peak of 54K in late December. Active user numbers remained stable, hovering around 7.4M.

Telegram Messenger displayed a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $5.9K in early December. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise mid-December, reaching 55K. Active users showed a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 2.4M.

Google Meet downloads decreased steadily, from about 10K in early October to 5.6K by the end of December. Active users also saw a downward trend, concluding the quarter at about 372K.
